Art for Ransom 2010

Thanks to all who contributed to the Art for Ransom annual fundraiser at the new home of Center for Visual Arts (CVA), in the Art District of Santa Fe at 952 Santa Fe Ave, Denver.

CVA  graciously donated space. Many artists contributed artwork, especially the highly creative "Undigital Art" on recycled CDs. The event showcased poetry from Art from Ashes and the Rocky Mountain Deaf School, and music from Fluesy-G. Arts Street youth trained in Exhibit Prep organized the art show. Volunteers prepared food, collected donations of wine and silent auction items. Alumni Cari Smith emceed and managed the evening's program. Lively auction services was generously donated by Warren and Terry Smith of Two for the Show, which helped generate much needed funds for the Video Squad program that benefits youth of the Denver Juvenile Justice Division.
